Fossil Fuel Coffee Co. is a family-owned café on Kemmerer’s historic downtown triangle. The name is a wink at the town that raised us — coal, fossils, and the original J.C. Penney store across the way — not a drilling outfit.
Organic fair-trade beans, roasted at more than 6,000 feet in Cheyenne and sent the same day. No fillers. No fake flavorings. Paninis made to order. Pastries from scratch in the bakery next door at 821.

The Bone Head
A cup of drip with a double shot. For the morning that needs both barrels.
Carmella
Caramel and vanilla, hot or iced, for the days you refuse to pick one.
Coconilla
Coconut, vanilla, and a double espresso. Over ice or in a mug.

Honey and espresso, balanced so it doesn’t taste like dessert first.

The Bakery
Baked here. Sold until it isn’t.
Scones, bars, coffee cake, cheesecakes, and pies come out of the bakery we opened next door when the first kitchen ran out of room. If you see it in the case, grab it.

What are your hours?
We are open 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day of the week, including weekends and most holidays. Festival weekends we sometimes stay later — we post that on Instagram. Walk in or order pickup; we do not deliver.
Is Fossil Fuel Coffee an energy company?
No. Fossil Fuel Coffee Co. is a family-owned coffee shop and scratch bakery on Main Street in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The name is a nod to fossil country, coal, and the ground under our feet — not oil and gas.
Can I order ahead?
Yes. Pickup orders go through our order page at fossilfuelwy.square.site. We do not offer delivery. If you are bringing a field crew, call (307) 800-1483 so we can staff the bar.
